Air Quality Assessments and Monitoring
GEP Consulting can undertake detailed air quality assessments using both the ADMS and AERMOD atmospheric dispersion modelling software systems.
GEP Consulting offers a range of services associated with air quality assessment, based upon atmospheric dispersion modelling using both the ADMS and AERMOD atmospheric dispersion modelling software systems.
Air quality assessment based upon continuous and passive monitoring techniques are also applied to quantify the impact of process activities on local air quality.
GEP Consulting can assist developers even further in their planning applications by providing air quality assessments in accordance with the guidelines published by the National Society for Clean Air and Environmental Protection.
The air quality assessment is undertaken in stages. Initially a ‘Screening Method’ is used to assess whether an air quality problem exists. If a problem exists, then in the second stage, a local dispersion model is used to calculate pollution concentration within the proposed development. The assessment will then consider the likely effectiveness of any pollution reducing or mitigation measures that can be included as part of the development.
The range of services include:
- Sscoping and baseline surveys
- Air quality impact assessments
- Dust and odour
- Traffic and transportation impact
- Construction impact
- EIA air quality chapters
- Air quality monitoring
- Expert witness representation
